Hi, Thanks for your report. Can you post the contents of /etc/fstab ? I have also noticed that if the fstab uses uuids for mounts, gnome- volume-manager creates a second desktop icon for the mount. -- Partitions on external hd are mounted twice https://launchpad.net/bugs/70380
