[Bug 67969] amd64 1280x1024 resolution, splash screen looks bad

on my amd64 edgy box i've set the usplash to vga=795

the ubuntu logo is silver looking and a bit squashed and in top corner
of screen almost - there's no loading progress bar and it looks a bit
naff.
