Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: gnome-volume-manager
After my upgrade to edgy, the import dialog didn't open anymore when I
connected my digital camera. But gnome-volume-manager-gthumb works well
when I launch it in a terminal.
Finely, I found the problem : /desktop/gnome/volume_manager/prompts/camera_import_photos key in gconf was set to 5 by a previous version of Ubuntu (I don't know witch one, I use it since warty).
I have reset it, and now the value is 6 for a behavior like before edgy.
So there is a retro-compatibity issue in the gconf option for gnome-
volume-manager. I think the best thing is to understand old format
option, or reset it when there is an inconsistency.
NB : I tried to check/uncheck digital camera import in
System>preferences>amovible media, but it didn't change anything.
** Affects: gnome-volume-manager (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: Unconfirmed
** Description changed:
