Forgive me but I don't know how set it up so that it does not use GDM. I
will look into this however heres the bottom of the Xorg.0.log.  I
closed the lid at the time listed next to AUDIT:

/var/lib/defoma/x-ttcidfont-conf.d/dirs/TrueType, removing from list!
Could not init font path element /usr/share/fonts/X11/TTF/, removing from list!
Could not init font path element /usr/share/fonts/X11/OTF, removing from list!
Could not init font path element /usr/share/fonts/X11/CID/, removing from list!
AUDIT: Tue Oct 31 20:21:45 2006: 15277 X: client 2 rejected from local host
AUDIT: Tue Oct 31 20:21:45 2006: 15277 X: client 3 rejected from local host
ProcXCloseDevice to close or not ?
