[Bug 46889] Close icon is an eyesore when scaled large

Public bug reported:

The new orange X button close icon is quite an eyecatcher.

I'd say it's too much of an eyecatcher, disturbing the overall calm look
of the theme in places such as on firefox/epiphany tabs (lots of small
X's), or on xchat-gnome's chat window (one big orange X).

I preferred the previously used flat X myself.
