I am marking this bug Resolved, gnuconvert. If you still have this
issue, please reopen this bug. In any case, a comment regarding whether
this has been resolved for you would be great.

I tried to archive 225 files right now, and was able to, without
nautilus quitting on me. I hope you see the same result.
