This upload fixes the issue:

 totem (1.4.1-0ubuntu3) dapper; urgency=low
 .
   * debian/patches/07_default_visual_effect.dpatch:
     - patch from upstream, make the visual effect names consitant between
       gstreamer and xine, fix the effect used by the default installation
       (Ubuntu: #34562)
