I have a iP4000 as well. Using the latest drivers as of today, 5-15-06 on the standard dapper channels, and amd64, the printouts experience a color-shifting problem. They also only take up  1/4 of the page. An image is availible here. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v210/chorca/ip4000.jpg
This is using gutenprint 5.0.0~rc2-0ubuntu6.
