Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: totem-xine

If Rhythmbox is running, and I try to start totem(-xine), the GUI pop's
up, but disappears as soon, leaving this message in the terminal:

$ totem
Creating link /home/vincent/.kde/socket-Lotus-Esprit.
can't create mcop directory

I don't quite understand what KDE has to do with it (I don't have KDE, I only installed Kpdf ).
I tried to delete ~/.kde, but it doesn't change anything, and it gets re-created as soon automatically.

If I close Rhythmbox, then totem starts and works just fine.
Sometimes simly stopping song playback is enough, but most of the time I really have to close RB altogether.

** Affects: totem (Ubuntu)
       Severity: Normal
       Priority: (none set)
         Status: Unconfirmed
