[Bug 44263] Unlock dialog takes way too long on incorrect password

Public bug reported:

Forgive me if this is a dupe. Browser crashed during a submit, but I
can't find the bug anywhere.

I'll be blunt. I hate the new dapper xscreensaver unlock dialog. It
has a few flaws that I think detract from the user experience in Ubuntu.

If I type in an incorrect password, it takes about 8 seconds for it to
tell me 'Incorrect password', and get around to redisplaying the
password dialog box.

Here's what I think needs to be corrected:
1. Get rid of the vibrating, jiggling 'denied' message. I can't think of any other OS that has a screensaver like that. It detracts from the professional image.

2. Shorten the amount of time between typing in an incorrect password,
saying 'bad password' (or whatever) and redisplaying the password
dialog.

I never thought I'd hear myself saying this--but make it a little more
like windows. Display an access denied message immediately. *THEN* if
someone keeps typing bad passwords in, start slowing it down like the
console login.

** Affects: gnome-screensaver (Ubuntu)
       Severity: Wishlist
       Priority: (none set)
         Status: Confirmed
