We (upstream) do not consider ourselves to be developing a gnome
application.  We have a non-trivial number of KDE users, and a non-
trivial number of users who do not use any desktop environment.   While
Ubuntu is naturally free to apply whatever patch they like, this is not
a change we would accept.
