I tried installing the lpr driver for 1250 and it gave me these errors:

sudo dpkg -i hl1250lpr-1.1.2-1.i386.deb

Unpacking hl1250lpr (from hl1250lpr-1.1.2-1.i386.deb) ...

mkdir: cannot create directory `/var/spool/lpd/HL1250': No such file or directory
chown: cannot access `/var/spool/lpd/HL1250': No such file or directory
chgrp: cannot access `/var/spool/lpd/HL1250': No such file or directory
chmod: cannot access `/var/spool/lpd/HL1250': No such file or directory

Also, the page you linked talks about the 2060 drivers working but I cannot find those drivers.
