Public bug reported:

Affects: hal (Ubuntu)
       Severity: Normal
       Priority: (none set)
     Assignee: Martin Pitt
         Status: Needs Info

Description:
I hear the disk reading every few seconds and see the disk light access
light blink every second every day.

When I boot in safe mode it doesnt happen. Gnome isn't the problem when
I enter gnome using: sudo gdm

This bug is normal and its been happening since warty. I can confirm
this bug on 4 computers that I own.

Could it be a possible memory leak?

I've had the same problem when I used fedora along time ago but I
somehow fixed it by turning off all services. Bug can be confirmed on a
clean install too.

It won't stop! It's really annoying.

It's definity dbus/hal and something else too.
