I'm sorry, unless there is a technical issue I don't know about, this bug can probably be closed INVALID.  It does work with the official Ubuntu kernel (although my new network card doesn't seem to like it as much), but further looking into this it seems that only my custom -ck kernels are affected by this bug.

I did gather the information though, if its decided that there is merit to this bug (and perhaps that rather vague error message)
