[Bug 36692] doing operations on a picture while saving it aborts the save

Description:

If I save a picture and then change it at the same time (say, rotate it),  gimp says "error saving $file, plugin could not save picture" (or something to that effect, I get the message in Norwegian).

Also, the PNG (in my case) written is corrupt.
