reports at the moment.

I don't have a ldap setup to try that. I made some bugzilla.gnome and google queries about that but there is no obvious other instance of that. That's weird that the bug happens to gimp only. The backtrace is not really useful. Do you know how to rebuild a debug package? Maybe you give a try to rebuild gimp debug to get a backtrace with it? https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProgramCrash has some instructions on how to do so
Could you also install libc6-dbg if you don't have it yet?
