[Bug 36406] gedit's toolbar-icons become invisible

Description:
gedit 2.14.1-0ubuntu1:

1) open a file with gedit
2) open the same file again
3) appreciate the nice message gedit gives you about the already-openness
4) see the toolbar is all yellow. Active icons become visible on hover, though.
