Of course, that's how I leanred the tab accelerator and tried them...

Yeah I noticed the various types/languages, but I didn't thought much of
it... I just assumed it was a way to sort/categorize them so it's easier
to find out what shortcuts are available for what language...

... but since I only code in C, I didn't quite think that most language
would have similar syntax hence they wold conflict, hence the need for
gedit to know what language I use in order to select the correct
snippets category...
