Yep, I fully agree with you. The properties dialog for drives could
improve a lot in the usefullness&usability department...

For example, when I put a data CD in the drive, I expect the properties dialog to tell me at least the size of the disk (how much data is on it).
Seems like basic info to me, and would particularly useful when Nautilus-cd-burner supports multi-session writing. This way you can pop a CD-R in the drive and see how much space you have left on the CD.

But that's just a tiny example, I agree that the dialog should be completely revisited when it applies to drive properties, so it looks ore relevant, cleaner and more useful.
Maybe for Gnome 2.16....
