Public bug reported:
https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/34356

Affects: gimp (Ubuntu)
       Severity: Normal
       Priority: (none set)
         Status: Unconfirmed

Description:
I use a laptop that has a fixed screen resolution of 1024 x 768; I use
two gnome panels on the bottom of the screen, each of which are set to
"24 pixels", so I have over 700 pixels vertically. This is more than
enough for just about any window, except the print preview dialogue
window in the GIMP.

When I select File -> Print... said window takes up more space than I
have vertically and I can't even read the text of the six buttons on the
bottom as they are almost completely hidden. Setting the two gnome
panels to autohide allows me to see the text of the buttons (Help,
About, Save Settings, Print and Save Settings, Cancel, Print), but its
still apparent that the window is taking up more space than is available
vertically. Horizontally, there is a lot of free space though.

Please either adjust the geometry of the print preview window such that
it can fit into a screen size of at least 800 x 600 (though fitting 640
x 480 would be even better for those still using older hardware; I don't
think that the window takes up much more area than that and could
probably be compacted a bit; the main problem is that its layed out in
such a way that its taller than it is wide, which is silly unless your
monitor is tilted 90 degrees), and/or use a scrollbar at the side of the
window. Either way will fix the problem.
