[Bug 29050] 6.04 (Dapper) doesn't recognize working printer

Comment:
The problem is ownership of /dev/usblp0 as it is assigned to scanner
group. Change that to lp and voila.

Run:
sudo chown root:lp /dev/usblp0

After that lpinfo -v should recognize it. 
I have DX3850 on USB and have just printed test page :)
