Comment:
I'm using Dapper 20060302.
I have had the same problem a few times (in Hoary and Breezy) when
browsing in Firefox and scrolling down reading a page. Suddenly my
Firefox window disappeared and I did only see the desktop. The first
time I tought was that my Firefox had crashed, so I just restarted
Firefox. Later I had this problem again and I found out that is was me
who accidently changed the workspace because my mouse cursor was above
the workspace switcher when scrolling the mousewheel.
I think the problem is that in Ubuntu the workspace switcher is located at the bottom right corner near the scrollbar of firefox or other programs. I think it would be better to move it to the bottom left corner, next to the "show desktop" icon.
I have done this and never experienced this problem anymore.
