Thanks for your bug. What version of Ubuntu and architecture do you use? Could you get a backtrace with the libgtk2.0-0-dbg package installed:
- gdb /usr/bin/gdk-pixbuf-query-loaders
(gdb) run
...
(gdb) thread apply all bt

and copy that to a comment
