Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gedit

1. Open gedit, type some stuff. Don't save it.
2. Switch to some other workspace.
3. Select shutdown/restart/log out.

By looking at the Workspace Switcher, you will observe that there is a
new window on previous workspace. Once can guess that this window is
asking to save the work. But you can not switch to previous workspace
thereby can not choose whether to save the work or not. And shutdown
process will not continue till you select the option in that window.

In this case I have to switch to virtual console and shutdown manually.
Or kill the X server if one is logging out.

Other apps which ask to save the work when shutting down such as Firefox
or Anjuta do not halt shutdown process. So I guess this is a problem
with gedit's multiple tabs feature. I think it is the child process
which is asking to save work and not the parent gedit (This is just my
guess, I haven't seen the source). But why should this be a problem?
Since 'kill' can take care of it.

I am stumped.
