[Bug 49417] Re: Double-clicking a word processing document in Nautilus gives no result

I had this problem and assumed it was caused by upgrading Breezy (with
OOo2) to Dapper (with OOo) and having customised the menu.

The "Open With" property list seems to be editable per file type - in
nautilus right click a document or spread sheet and open the tab "Open
With". There, remove the OOo2 entry.
