Public bug reported:
https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/29709

Affects: gnome-applets (Ubuntu)
       Severity: Normal
       Priority: (none set)
         Status: Unconfirmed

Description:
I've chmod +s /usr/bin/cpufreq-selector to be able to set a constant CPU
frequency. I'm on a laptop and when the battery is low I want the CPU to
be the slowest possible so that I can squeeze some extra minutes.

I choose 600Mhz but some times the frequency bumps again to the maximum
so I have to constantly change it to 600Mhz.

gnome-applets version is 2.13.2-0ubuntu2
