My system uses the Dutch language, i guess by locale you mean something
like NL_nl? If you need to know exactly, please explain how i can find
out.

Anyway, i remember i had the gedit.desktop file you specified, but i
can't attach it. I reinstalled my system and upgraded to Dapper where
the bug isn't reproducible.
