[Bug 31144] GNOME fails to start up for new user

Dapper deleted itself today when I booted (bug 32388).  I reinstalled
it, and now new users can log in.

I'm wondering whether the problem was to do with 127.0.0.1 not working.
I realised recently that sometimes the firewall config I was using was
preventing access to 127.0.0.1.  It's quite possible that the times I
tried to log in as my new users were times when the firewall was
preventing access to 127.0.0.1.

Anyway, it's fine now...  :)
