Public bug reported:
https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/32195
Affects: rhythmbox (Ubuntu)
Severity: Normal
Priority: (none set)
Status: Unconfirmed
Description:
This is not really a bug but something I am missing in the Create
Automatic Playlist dialog.
Recently I posted this bug #31821:
https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+source/rhythmbox/+bug/31821
Which is completely solved now among other little bugs I found in
Rhythmbox, great job!
The thing I am missing is a checkbox to select wether an automatic playlist filter should be case-insensitive or not.
I don't want to make it a KDE interface with checkboxes everywhere, but entering "sting" as an artist name and entering a checkbox is better than adding a filter with "sting" one with "Sting" and one with "STING" and some others probably.
I know the problem here is acctually the naming of the files and the tags, but most music collections are a big mess anyway.
At the moment I am doubting if this should even be there, but since
searching a text file can be done with case-insensitivity, this might be
a candidate for it too.
