Ok, I see, those extra devices are coming from my compact flash etc
device.

If I insert my CF card then a window pops up and it knows what the card
is.  Interesting.  (I'm a long time linux user, new to dapper and these
features.)  However, I need to restart nautilus to get it to put the new
device in the places menu on the left, and for it to show the device is
mounted so I can unmount it.  That, at least, is surely a nautilus bug,
no?
