That's an excelent idea!

I was thinking another problem of having a default playlist as default.
If the porpose is to create a relation between a file type and an
application then it fails too because _should_ serpentine will always
appear in "open with>Serpentine" menu entry and therefore it's not a
explicit place to be. 'Open with...' class aplications are the ones that
the user _knows_ which file type is associated with each file. Even if
the only knows the class type (playlists, symbolized by an icon) then he
will find out which playlist formats the application he wants is
registred by trial and error.

That makes me give a +1 on showing the dialog.

Another thing that could be done is to mention in the dialog that 'M3U
format' is the most common one, shared amongs the most number of
multimedia applications.
