It just occurred to me that the "/ for ubuntu" is probably some kind of
disk label. The partition which is currently mounted as /mnt/breezy is
indeed "/ for ubuntu" when I boot into breezy - it's the partition which
I originally installed warty onto. I've since installed dapper onto a
different partition, which I assume is also now labelled as "/ for
ubuntu". I wasn't booted into breezy when I saw the warning, however,
and so the partition it was warning about wasn't "/" at all, but was
"/mnt/breezy" at that time.
It would be clearer if gnome-volume-manager would refer to the mount
point of the filesystem rather than an obscure label which most users
are probably unaware of.
