Public bug reported:
https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/30912
Affects: evolution (Ubuntu)
Severity: Normal
Priority: (none set)
Status: Unconfirmed
Description:
When Autocompletion of contacts is on, there are some issues when
composing email. If one has user at domain.com in addressbook, and wants to
compose mail to users at otherdomain.com, Evolution gets too smart,
iritating user which then switches to thunderbird :)
When user starts to write use (wanting to write users at otherdomain.com),
Evolution changes that to Use (and suggests User Lastname
<user at domain.com>. When user continues to write full email
(users at otherdomain.com), Evolution doesn't bring back 'u', but leaves
'U'. So, email ends up looking like this: Users at otherdomain.com. It's
perfect email, it will get to it's destination, but it's not what user,
that composes mail, wanted.
Wouldn't be better to just drop down suggestions, instead of doing
completition in "To" filed? Something like thunderbird does.
