Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: gnome-screensaver
I am running a clean installation of Ubuntu 6.10 (Edgy) with all
official updates installed. Whenever the Gnome Power Manager turns off
my monitor using DPMS, the screensaver will not work the next time I
try. It does not matter whether I click the "Lock" button or wait for
five minutes, both cause the same problem. The problem is that the
screen will blank, but the screensaver will not activate. The screen
does lock, too, so I have to enter the password to get back to the Gnome
desktop. This problem goes away only when I reboot the computer.
** Affects: gnome-screensaver (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: Unconfirmed
