Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-panel

1) Add the Network monitor applet to the gnome panel
2) click on it
3) click on the "configure" button

Problem: it pops up an error message :

"The configuration could not be loaded
you are not allowed to access the system configuration"

I guess it wants the sudo password, but it doesn't start gksudo so
obviously there is no way we can get the permission it asks for !

I don't what shoudl be done about it : pop up gksudo ? or remove the "configure" button altogether ?
I mean, in Dapper it sued to start network-admin, but in Edgy it only start a very minimal GUI that I do'nt find very useful. Maybe from a usability standpoint, it would be good to remove the configure button altoghether, so that the applet ony displays information, and if the user needs to modify something, he would just go to the administration menu and start network-admin.
I would find this configuration simpler and clearer.

But then that's just one users' POV ;-)

** Affects: gnome-panel (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: Unconfirmed
