[Bug 76334] Some remote filesystems work from nautilus but not from gnome-panel

Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-panel

If I use "Connect to Server..." from nautilus to mount a remote filesystem over "FTP (with login)" and do not leave the "Folder" field blank, then attempting to open the remote filesystem from the Places menu gives the error:

"""
Could not open location 'ftp://jcspray@192.168.1.3:21/home/jcspray/'
There is no default action associated with this location.
"""

Parameters used in "Connect to Server":
Server: 192.168.1.3
Port: [left blank]
Folder: "/home/jcspray/"
User Name: "jcspray"

However, if I open the Computer window and click on it from there, or
access it via nautilus in general, then it works perfectly. Further, if
I do not put anything in the "Folder" field when doing "Connect to
Server" then the link works fine in both gnome-panel and nautilus,
opening / on the remote machine.

This doesn't seem to happen when using SSH rather than FTP. I only see
it happen when using FTP, specifying a remote folder, and opening the
remote filesystem via gnome-panel.

** Affects: gnome-panel (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: Unconfirmed
