Mårten, your problem is probably a different one, the screensaver is known to be broken at the moment on feisty and that's fixed upstream: http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=380675 -- totem does not stop kscreensaver from starting https://launchpad.net/bugs/36315
