I'm really sorry about that. I had done a bunch of work to isolate which
applet was causing the problem and then quickly wrote up a launchpad
bug. I only found the upstream bug 5 minutes after filing this one ("hmm
I wonder if it is already upstream. I'll do a search for
gtk_widget_size_allocate() -> bugzilla timeout. Hmm better narrow it
down to gnome-panel. Ah...") and by then it was too late.

Perhaps it would be nice to have a "tracking upstream" option so
needless launchpad bugs like this can be closed straight away.
