I would second this. Maybe there already is a screensaver that just
displays a floating bitmap, and perhaps this can be used as the default
screensaver with a locally saved Ubuntu logo as the default bitmap.

This is very important for "corporate image" type screensavers. I keep
seeing the Windows XP or Windows 2000 default screensavers (logos) in TV
reports or on newspaper photos.
