** Description changed:

  This problem started with the Edgy Eft upgrade, which included the Gaim
  upgrade.
  
  I will sometimes come back to my computer to find that someone has IM'd
  me, and that two conversation windows have opened for it.  One window is
- blank, the other sometimes has the messages. After trying to click on
- them or the Gaim icon (not sure of which), Gaim crashes w/ a bug report
- dialog.

- I have a laptop, so when I'm away for a while, the lid is down, meaning
- gnome-screensaver has locked the screen -- if that is relevant. I

  I will attempt to produce steps to reproduce the bug, which has occurred
  for both MSN and AIM protocol conversations. I am willing to modify
  preferences and settings at the request of others to help narrow down
  this bug.
