Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: gnome-control-center
Today, I was checking Bon Echo's memory usage in Edgy and I noticed that
GTM was taking up an extraordinary amount of memory.
Sorting by %mem in top, the first three lines are:
PID USER PR NI VIRT RES SHR S %CPU %MEM TIME+ COMMAND
9332 mah 15 0 170m 160m 7632 S 0 7.9 0:01.37 gnome-typing-mo
3864 mah 15 0 147m 139m 7932 S 0 6.9 9:03.21 emacs-snapshot
9822 mah 15 0 205m 64m 20m S 3 3.2 2:54.76 firefox-bin
I'm at a loss to figure out why GTM needs that much memory to blank the
screen each hour.
I've had my laptop running at this point for 16 hours.
** Affects: control-center (Ubuntu)
Importance: Untriaged
