I don't use them, but they are forced to be installed (I think openoffice pulls it in). I filed a similar buggy durring dapper cycle (at-spi also caused my gaim cvs to crash). I've now disabled them, we'll see if it makes a difference. -- can't open new tabs https://launchpad.net/bugs/58068
