I've just uploaded a package to edgy without the previous change from
that cycle:

 gnome-terminal (2.15.4-0ubuntu2) edgy; urgency=low
 .
   * debian/patches/04_resized_on_tabs_switch.patch:
     - undo upstream change to fix the window size changing on tabs switching
       (Ubuntu: #53157)
