[Bug 57108] Cannot paste from PRIMARY selection in mail composer

Public bug reported:

I cannot middle-click to paste the current selection from another
program in the mail composer.

If I highlight a region of text in XEmacs I can middle-click in the
terminal to paste it.  The same works in gedit, and gossip, and
epiphany.  But I cannot paste into the composer.
