Having fixed my fstab so the mounts are correct and uncommented, eg

/dev/sda7       /media/sda7     vfat    defaults        0       0

I now get this message:
mount: only root can mount /dev/sda7 on /media/sda7


If I mount sda7 myself with the terminal, double-clicking the corresponding icon in Computer produces nothing at all.
