Some additional data.

Changing the theme from "ubuntu" to "standard" in gconf (/apps
/notification-daemon/theme) has no effect. So it seems to be not theme
releated.

The crash is actually a Gtk-Crtitical warning that causes the daemon to
fail. I did a upload to disable this for now to avoid too many
duplicates of this report.

It happens when the widget gets destroyed, I currnetly suspect a double
free problem somewhere in the daemon.
