Also I tried the following

manu at Ruby:~$ MOZILLA_FIVE_HOME=/usr/lib/firefox
manu at Ruby:~$ export MOZILLA_FIVE_HOME
manu at Ruby:~$
manu at Ruby:~$ LD_LIBRARY_PATH="/usr/lib/firefox:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH"
manu at Ruby:~$ export LD_LIBRARY_PATH

I tried the demo from ruby ((=> this is the demo from http://ruby-
gnome2.sourceforge.jp/hiki.cgi?RubyGecko )

manu at Ruby:~$ ruby moz-editor.rb     
ruby: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/firefox/components/libdocshell.so: undefined symbol: PR_GetPhysicalMemorySize

 and the previous command with python does not doe anything anymore...
but no output either
