The upstream bug description is very vague; it mentions that there were some known bugs in 0.1 regarding NTFS, but that is about it. Note also that I don't think gparted resizes NTFS itself, but calls out to ntfsresize. -- Partition table destroyed when resizing NTFS https://launchpad.net/bugs/48229
