Sorry I've been busy with things like work and looking for a place to
live lately.

 Upgraded to Dapper. Same result as Breezy.
 It doesn't matter if the device has RAW files on it or not. It's just buggy at working. Sometimes it works, more often than not, it doesn't. Same is present using gphoto2, so it's definitely libgphoto2 issue and not gthumb.
 It just refuses to see the image store on the device some times, and sometimes it works. Sometimes it comes back after a few invocations and sometimes it refuses to work at all. Plugging it into another USB port doesn't seem to help. I could not find any correlation at all (time since shooting or turn on, camera modes, Ubuntu uptime, free memory, nada).

I'm guessing this might be related to a similar issue with the Canon EOS
20D's and Firmware 1.0.2 I saw at
