After reading the discussion a bit, I found I preferred the patch in
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=214611#c33 as well. I'll have
i386 and amd64 packages uploaded to
http://people.ubuntu.com/~dholbach/pilot/pilot-link/ in a bit - it'd be
nice to get some testers for it.
